Underway as before pursuant to operations order Onwent, Uncle 3. Commander Guillot in this ship O. T. C. of convoy consisting of LST’s 282, 230, 47, 48, and 281. Escorts - Destroyers Fitch and Corry and 2 ATR’s, approaching transport area, course making good 201, speed 2/3.

Let go port bow anchor. Turned on blue stern light; sounded one blast; lowered away all small boats.

Boats 1,5 and 4 shoved off. #2 wouldn’t start; secured blue stern light. Anchored approximately 22,000 yards N. E. of Mageliene Sands, English Channel, France with 60 fathoms of chain at the capstan to port bow anchor.
